ABOUT US
My name is Kira and I am the owner of Wildflower Beauty, an independent beauty salon in Downham Market, Norfolk. I specialize in Eyebrow Treatments and Full Body Waxing. I opened my studio in 2020 during the middle of a pandemic, and it was the best decision I ever made! There is nothing I love more than making people feel confident in the body they're given. I am so lucky to wake up every day, meet such amazing clients, and to learn new life skills.
In my studio, you can expect a calm and cosy little room, surrounded by colourful floral decor. You can relax listening to some smooth vintage jazz music and finish your treatment feeling as fresh as a daisy.

I keep my treatment list small so I can focus on each service I provide to ensure the best results. I have invested in the best training out there and I make sure I use the best quality products. Your safety and happiness are my top priority. I will always make sure patch tests have been performed, and you will always leave with aftercare advice to make the most out of your treatment.

FAQ
Can I book online?
Yes! All treatments and patch tests can be booked online, our booking system will text to a code and you can book, change or cancel all appointments on there.
Do I need a patch test?
For tints, lamination or lash lifts, you MUST book a separate patch test at least 48 hours before if you are a new client or this is your first time trying a treatment with us.
Patch tests are so important, they take 2 minutes to do and can save you from all sorts of problems. All salons should be performing patch tests before any chemical treatments, without a patch test we are not insured, which is illegal! Your happiness and health are my top priority, therefore I won't take any risks when it comes to patch tests.
There are many factors that can influence a negative reaction, even if you've been having the treatment for years. If you have not attended your patch test, your appointment will be classed as a cancellation. You will receive a reminder text, although it is your responsibility to remember your appointment.
Do you require a booking fee?
All appointments made through me must be secured with a 50% booking fee. The remainder of the treatment value will be payable on the day of your appointment by cash, card or bank transfer.
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment but please provide 48 hours' notice, in order to have your booking fee carried over to your next appointment. If you fail to provide the required notice, your payment will not be refunded and a new payment will be required to secure any future appointments.
If you make changes to your appointment without providing 48 hours' notice, or after your arrival which would reduce the overall value of your appointment, you will still be charged the full value of the original appointment.
If a situation should arise in which I need to cancel your appointment last minute, I will contact you as soon as possible and reschedule your appointment at the earliest opportunity. If it is not possible to find an alternative time that suits you, I will be happy to refund your payment.
I hope you understand that your appointments are my livelihood, and there is no guarantee that I will be able to fill the space at short notice. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
What happens if I'm running late?
I appreciate that lateness is sometimes out of your control, but it may mean your treatment will be shortened and the full appointment value will still apply. If I'm not left with enough time to perform your treatment that day, it will be treated as a last minute cancellation and your booking fee or online payment will not be refunded, as per the cancellation policy. I'll happily rearrange your appointment and will need to take a new payment. I will always do my best to accommodate you, so please contact me if you know you're running late.
Can I bring my children?
I am not able to accommodate children in the salon as unfortunately we don't have the space . I also want you to get the most out of your visit without distraction, so I kindly ask you to arrange childcare prior to your appointment. If you attend your appointment with your children, please be aware I will have no choice but to reschedule your appointment. It will therefore be considered a last minute cancellation
Can you accommodate my disability?
It might be helpful to know the following: the premises consists of the hair salon, a private beauty studio, a staff room and bathroom, there is one small step to the staff room/toilets and there is one up to the front door. There is a small hallway into the beauty studio, which itself is a small room. You are more than welcome to have a carer accompany you to your appointment and I am very happy to physically assist you in accessing the building, should you request help. There is plenty of space for your wheelchair and any other mobility aids inside the hair salon. I have an electric bed which can be adjusted along with the back and foot rest.
Is there parking at the salon?
There is a carpark directly across the road called The Hollies carpark. It is free all day!
Do you take card?
I take cash, card & bank transfer.
Does waxing hurt?
Well, hair removal will never be completely pain free! However, I can provide a very comfortable treatment for even the most delicate skin. By applying a barrier to protect the skin in sensitive areas, you'll have a clean and smooth result with minimal inflammation. Even the strip wax provides a quick and comfortable treatment without leaving a sticky residue.
How long does my hair need to be?
I recommend having at least 5mm growth for larger or intimate areas. That means leaving it at least 3 weeks after shaving and at least 4 weeks after waxing. If your hairs are too short in these areas, I may not be able to remove them all and you may find it more painful.
How long do I wait in-between waxes?
To align with the hair growth cycle and ensure hairs are long enough to remove, I recommend having an appointment about every 5 weeks. Some clients prefer 4 weeks, and some can leave it much longer. For facial waxing, clients tend to prefer booking every 3-4 weeks because the regrowth is more noticeable.
Can I have treatments if I'm pregnant?

Please do ensure you inform me if you are pregnant or actively trying to conceive as there are limitations to which treatments and products are safe to use. Unfortunately we can not do any chemical treatments like tinting, lash lifts or lamination whilst pregnant or breastfeeding, although we can wax anywhere on the body.

Do I need to trim my hairs before intimate waxing?
Hair can actually be too long for a wax! If it's been a long time since your last treatment, I recommend carefully trimming the longest hairs with small scissors or a trimmer. Aim to get them about 1cm long. This will save time during your treatment but it can be tricky, so if you don't trust yourself I can do it prior to waxing.
Can I have an intimate wax if I'm on my period?
Yes you can, there is no need to cancel if you are on your period (and no reason to be embarrassed). I just ask that you wear a tampon to ensure the treatment is as hygienic as possible. Please be aware that your pain threshold may be lower at this time
Do I have to remove my underwear for an intimate wax?
If it's a bikini line wax, then you can keep your underwear on, as long as you can comfortably hold them out the way. I can provide disposable underwear if you don't have anything suitable. During any other intimate wax you will need to remove your underwear so I can perform an effective treatment. I know it can feel daunting, especially if it's your first treatment with me, but I have had years of experience waxing people from all walks of life! I will always prioritise your physical and emotional comfort so please let me know if you're feeling anxious.
What do I need to avoid after my wax?
For 24 hours following your wax treatment I suggest avoiding hot showers or baths, swimming, aerobic exercise, saunas and steam rooms, sun exposure and the application of any products that I haven't recommended. As with any treatment, the aftercare is your responsibility. Keep in mind that your skin may be red and sensitive so it's best to avoid anything that might irritate it for the first day or so.
